WE WERE WRONG

Misinterpereted retirement plan rules.

After digging a little, I have learned I am able to divert some of my retirement plan funds in to a self directed brokerage account. I will have the opportunity to kick start this retirement fund even, at this late date.

The latest market trends are presenting new opportunities for the long term. Even if the market dips some more, generally speaking historically the market should self correct eventually surpassing my buy-in. Short term traders cannot be comfortable with that statement. At least, they shouldn't feel comfortable with that statement. For them there is more urgency to be on top of it minute by, minute.

Many contingencies apply requiring constant research.

Please check out my page warranty as it most certainly applies here.

TWISTED 401-K

I contribute approximately $150/mo. through a plan at work toward my retirement.

The upper management team of this company has cherry-picked an assortment of funds through a large brokerage firm to choose from. It is not as simple as having the ability to choose from all funds available through that brokerage.

I have mentioned the same people doing the cherry picking have lost control of the company they mis-manage, and the stock has plummeted from the mid-50's to the teens in less than one year.

Unable to become a success, they are either bringing the company down purposely to entertain bids or, they are in a panic mode not knowing how to re-claim control.

Either way, they have a stronghold on my 401-k. I cannot divert any funds for self directed retirement until I am 59 1/2.

Why should they have control over my retirement if they have so much problem controlling their own interests?

THE LAUGHING STOCK ON WALL STREET?

This is the company I work for, and I just thought we had an extremely bad CEO but, maybe I'm wrong?!

In January, 2007 the stock was easily in to the fifties/share. Today's closing was 14. plus/share.

I didn't even think about this until presented by, a colleague. He asked if I saw the movie, PRETTY WOMAN. Remember what Richard Gere's character did for a living? I pondered a moment. Then a light went off; Fireworks!

His character was a shrewd businessman who at all expense to anyone else, without feeling bought up distressed companies, and parceled them out. Piece by, piece.

Jobs lost, lives ruined. The deepest dark side of business. No conscience, no second thoughts, void of a soul.

Either this CEO is really the worst CEO in existence or, he is Gere's character, brought in to bring it down.

Laughing stock on Wall Street? No, without question if commandeered by, Gere's character. All a purposeful ploy. A man without a soul in charge of the crash. If this isn't Gere's character in that movie, he is one of the most inept people in this position with any company.

If he's attempting a real life venture as a CEO he, is proving something better might be better. Something much better!

IF

I have spent a good amount of time this morning, on
STOCK GUMSHOE.

There is a vault load of information.

'If' iindicates a contingency. It seems the common denominator with many of these email financial offers is, 'if.' That is, even after shelling out bunches of bucks for a newsletter, there may be a contingency on the original offer.

I am captivated by, this web page. No 'ifs' about it!

A MULTI-KAZILLIONAIRE BUT, ONLY IF YOU SUBSCRIBE

There are all kinds of e-mail offers to subscribe to financial news letters. Some as much as a thousand dollars a year but, well worth the price because they will send you an investment opportunity too good to be true. That's what they say. Well worth the price you pay considering the wealth of information provided according to the publishers.

Sometimes so hard to resist because, what if that's the one legit offer?

I am not saying some may not be worthy, I can only emphasize the investing community has continually emphasized due diligence. Research!

I received yet, another offer, today. It really sounds good! So, I began Googling, and searching. Nothing. Oh yeah, there were quite a few search entries from the publisher offering the newsletter but, finally an entry in the search that brought me to reality!

I want to share this site with you because, it is a great find for me! It is The Stock Gumshoe. I find this site as a treasure. Have a look, see what you think.

Thank you, Stock Gumshoe!

What A Revoltin' Situation

Wall Street was an eerie, unfriendly place on Friday!

My portfolio did better than some, and it was at best a dismal day.

The week end could not have come at a better time. Perhaps this little two day break is needed for the market makers to re-group for a better week, next week.

This is not easy, boys, and girls! Now that I think about it, nobody said it would be easy.

Only one major positive for me on Friday. There were some others with very minor steps up, and down. There were also several taking the gist of Friday's market to heart, and would not be considered in the minor steps category.

FRONTLINE (FRO) was on the plus side, up 1.14 while
Barclay's (BCS), led the downside onslaught at -1.31.

Got any money left to bet on the Cubs?

Here's to a better Monday!

List - High Yield Entries

Ran across this list of the 100 Highest Yield Stocks.

Cannot verify the validity, and the timliness of the list.

Most assuredly recommend only as a reference for your own due diligence.

I intend to check up, and back on this list.

ADDENDUM, 06/18/2008
I did say I would do some checking on this list. My findings: Out of date, and of little to no use for my purposes.

Yesterday

I am finding as I continue, one bad yesterday does not make a lifetime of trading. Yesterday was, one of those days.

My world in the stock market was down but, the only way to keep my shirt on, is to not panic.

I am not in a panic mode as it is the only way to stay aware, and watch for the point I can take no more! The point I am referring to has been pre-determined based on my entry point with each issue. My sell points are determined as I buy the stock.

Tough day Wednesday but, I am up ytd with dividends, brokerage fees, etc.

I'm maintaining the shirt in the 'on' position, and watching.

Have a good trading day!
